Inspiring historic place, where you can combine a scenic walk, with traditional german food and freshly brewed beer.
A beautifully restored event venue with a storied past. The venue hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, cinema screenings, farmers' markets, auctions, and weddings. It also serves as an ideal pit stop for enjoying a refreshing beer from the local brewery.
The history of Schlossgut Altlandsberg dates back to the 13th century, when a castle was erected on its grounds. Over the centuries, the estate exchanged hands among notable owners such as the House of Wettin, the House of Ascania, and the Krummensee Knights.
In 1654, the nobleman Otto von Schwerin took control of Altlandsberg, initiating a series of significant renovations to both the castle and its surrounding lands. These endeavors transformed the property into a magnificent palace.
By 1708, the palace park underwent further expansion under the patronage of Frederick I of Prussia, who had already spent part of his early years in Atlandsberg. The project was executed according to the plans of Johann Friedrich Eosander, the famous architect behind Charlottenburg Palace and the infamous Amber Room.
Following Frederick's passing, the palace gradually fell into disrepair, eventually succumbing to a devastating fire in 1757. Any surviving valuable items were transferred to Charlottenburg Palace, leaving only the church and the estate to bear witness to the site's historical legacy.
Really nice atmosphere. On the weekend there was a small "farmers market" with some local and not so local produce. You get to learn about the history of the former castle and there is a small playground across the street. It will be even nicer when the construction in the park is finished.
Worth a visit!:) Especially while on a bike tour the beer garden is really enjoyable
Among the nices places I experienced in Brandenburg, nothing was a problem. We turned up 20 people and they managed to feed us all within in 2hours and the entire time beeing friendly.
Nice place for wedding and party.
